Food - phenomenal. The dry aged ribeye is amazing, and so is everything else. All sides, the onion rings, and even the wine. Service - exceeds expectations. Chadwick was a wonderful server, but I get the impression good service is the standard here. Ambiance - classic steakhouse in the best way possible. Low lighting, cozy but high-end, soft music and comfortable seating.

I've heard people hype up this place for years and finally had a reason to visit for a birthday. I had high expectations for the food, but honestly, it didn't quite live up to the hype. We were mainly paying for the service and experience. The restaurant was too dark and I struggled to see the menu and the food. The tables were placed closely, creating a noisy environment where we could even hear someone snoring at one point. 5-star service, no doubt. A busboy accidentally spilled sauce on my partner's jacket, but the waiter and a manager quickly stepped in and handled it professionally. This was the moment I felt like the service actually justified the cost. They also accommodated the birthday person's food allergy by preparing a special sauce so he could still enjoy the dish. The food was ok. The onion rings were not special, just bigger. The bread was too salty for my taste. They kindly offered us free birthday treats (sorbet, chocolate, and crème brûlée), and out of the three, the crème brûlée was the best. The sorbet was way too sour. The lobster mashed potatoes and Caesar salad exceeded my expectations. Steak-wise, I've had better elsewhere. Our ribeyes had too much fat. My friend cut a huge amount of inedible fat out of his ribeye. My ribeye wasn't as bad but I still ate the whole thing due to how much it cost. Later that night, I woke up at 3 AM with severe stomach cramps and aftermath. The men's restroom has a weird design. There are no dividers between urinals, and one urinal is right next to the entrance. If someone is using it, that's the first thing you see when you open the door. We had a good time, but I'm not sure if I'd return. At least I can finally check this place off my list.

A Dining Experience to Remember! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and an inviting atmosphere. The service was nothing short of exceptional (Thank you Taylor and Nicholas, the newbie of 3 days)--attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about making our experience unforgettable. Now, let's talk about the food--absolutely phenomenal! The lobster was beautifully presented, bursting with flavor, and perfectly prepared, and of course the steak was incredible (10oz Prime Filet). You can tell that quality ingredients and expert craftsmanship go into every bite. Whether it was the appetizer, entrée, or dessert, each course was a delightful masterpiece. Cesar salad lettuce was chilled, and the croutons were in tiny bite size pieces, so nice not to have to chomp through a dice size crouton. I love that they were able to open my 12-year-old bottle of wine without breaking the cork and decant in a lovely and stylish vessel. We were celebrating my father's birthday and really appreciate that they offered him a complimentary Crème Brule. Beyond the food and service, the overall ambiance was spot-on--comfortable, stylish, and ideal for a perfect night out. This restaurant truly goes above and beyond to create a memorable experience. I cannot recommend it enough! If you're looking for a place that delivers on all fronts--service, food, and atmosphere--this is it. We will definitely be back!

Dinner tonight at Ringside.with my son. When you go, ask to be seated in Jodie's section. She made us feel at home and managed our dinner service flawlessly. Great suggestions and always there when we needed her. We had the crab cakes as an appetizer and so delish. Generous size, two per order. We shared a Caesar salad which was terrific-even had an anchovy on top. Jodie helped me us pick steaks and we ordered Brussel sprouts. They were so good but it was too much with everything else so we took all most all of them home. The only fly in the ointment was that I ordered a medium rare steak and it came out over done. Jodie whisked it away and replaced it with a perfect one in no time. This is my birthday week and Jodie brought us a complementary creme broule with a candle! Thanks Ringside for a memorable evening.

I came here for dinner one evening and had an alright time. Despite making reservations, we were placed outside (even with many empty seats inside) which was a bit disappointing as it was cold outside. Service, however, was fairly quick and very friendly. They also have free valet parking. I ordered the onion soup, caesar salad, and steak. Everything was delicious and I really enjoyed steak as well as my appetizers. Not a bad spot for steak!

Not the best steak I've had in Portland but we had a good time. We went for a birthday dinner, and service was really good but I was hoping for the best. I would go again, the bar and the TVs made it fun. Definitely wanted more from the steak.

Omg the best onion rings ever! Great service, dimly lit cozy atmosphere. The steaks were okay but I'd go back just for the onion rings.

Celebrated our anniversary at Ring Side and it did not disappoint! Thank you Ring Side for making the evening special. From the espresso martinis to the crème brûlée- everything was amazing. We ordered the Ribeye for two and it was cooked to perfection. Medium rare and seasoned just right. Easy to cut and not overcooked like some places make the ends. We had the garlic mashed potatoes, rice, hollandaise sauce all on the side. For our apps we got the ring side onion rings (highly suggest!!) and the crab cakes which were delicious. The crème brûlée and cheesecake are amazing! We took dessert to go and I'm sure it would be even better in restaurant. One thing that I would say is bring a jacket- it was a bit chilly inside !
